Il utilise maintenant les marches tout seul quand il veut venir près de nous. C’est surtout ce petit détail du quotidien qui m’a convaincue.

The moments he should no longer miss
Good morning (first greeting of the day)
Before you even take your first sip of coffee, he already wants to be close to you. Canelvo allows him to join you without waiting for you to carry him.
When your arms are already full
A baby, a tray, a tiring day… Even when you can’t lift it, it finds its way to you.
Nights when he looks for you
A storm, waking up too early, or simply needing comfort... He can find your hand without staying alone at the foot of the bed.
He's still choosing his seat
He climbs up when he wants to be near you, then climbs back down when he prefers his spot in the sun. He no longer needs to wait for your permission or your help.

Since our daughter was born, I often had the baby in my arms when Léon wanted to climb onto the sofa. He weighs almost 9 kg, so it really wasn't practical. He now uses the steps by himself when he wants to come close to us. It's especially this small detail of everyday life that convinced me.
Tao is an adopted dog who is wary of anything new. On the first day, he walked around the stairs. On the second, he sniffed them. We let him be, without pushing, and after five days, he went up by himself. I wanted to clarify that it wasn't immediate, but now he uses them naturally.
I bought it to help Paco get on the sofa, but he sometimes still climbs up without using it. However, when he gets down, he almost always uses the steps. Ultimately, that's where I find it most useful, especially when he wakes up still a little sleepy after his nap.
We have two dogs: Nova immediately jumps on it, while Gus still prefers to be encouraged. I thought they would have the exact same reaction, but not at all. After two weeks, both use it, just at different paces. The product remains installed against the sofa and each has developed its own habits.
We had already tried small, rigid steps, but Poppy didn't like putting her paws on them and would go around them. She was much less hesitant with this padded surface. It still took her a few accompanied attempts, but she no longer tries to avoid the product when she goes to the sofa.
Before, Iris had to wait for someone to notice she wanted to get up. Now, she joins us when she feels like it and goes back down when she wants to be alone in her bed. What I love most isn't just the couch: it's the fact that she can decide for herself where she wants to rest.
The Canelvo was for our Pug, who uses it to get on the couch. What we didn't expect was our cat to use it to get to the window sill right next to it. The product has become a true little passageway in the living room for both of them.

Your questions, our answers
What height should I choose for my sofa or bed?
Measure the distance between the floor and the top of the cushion or mattress your dog needs to reach.
Canelvo is available in three sizes:
- 40 × 40 × 31 cm for low sofas and beds;
- 58 × 41 × 35 cm for most sofas and some beds;
- 72 × 41 × 45 cm for higher beds and seating.
Choose the size whose height is closest to that of your furniture.
How do I know if Canelvo is right for my dog?
Canelvo can be particularly suitable for small dogs, short-legged dogs, senior dogs, those who hesitate before the sofa or bed, as well as dogs that their owner regularly has to carry.
The choice depends, however, on your dog's mobility, the height of the furniture, and the available space in the room. In case of pain, injury, or significant difficulty moving, consult your veterinarian.
Will my dog understand how to use it?
Every dog reacts differently. Some will use Canelvo quickly, while others may need several attempts to build confidence.
Place the stairs directly against the furniture, let your dog discover them without forcing them, and encourage them with your voice or some treats. Always supervise their first uses.
